“Welcome to Main Street”

From the old Sign of the Sun, to the old Jorgensen’s Cafe.

This post has been a LONG time coming. I’ve been so secretive about the new space and where exactly we are relocating to, but for good reason.

Now we can FINALLY announce that our new home will be located at 103 Main Street in downtown Waterville; The original home of the (also) legendary Jorgensen’s.

Before I took over 22 Silver Street 3 years ago (Sign of the Sun’s former location), we also took a site tour of this exact space at 103 Main Street. I do remember liking the space very much, but at the time it did need a little extra work than I felt like I was up for. We were on a tight time crunch to open in a new location and with construction still going on on Main Street, 22 Silver felt like the safest option.

Now, the space at 103 Main has been divided in two separate areas; The larger main area you would initially walk into when entering Jorgensen’s to place your order, and the smaller “step-down” area where you would find a table and sit. It also boasts a fresh new coat of white paint on the walls (which were a reddish-orange color before) and overall the space is much more clean and modern looking. During this most recent site tour to take a look at the updated space, it felt like home. It felt exactly how it did when I initially viewed the 22 Silver Street location, however when looking ahead, the future felt far brighter this time around.

We’ve been busy cleaning and prepping the space for move-in, so as far as photos go, I don’t have anything too exciting to share.
